For runners without a support crew we will take one closable soft bag (we recommend a Woolworths/Coles Cool Bag) to each of Checkpoints 3, 4 and 5. Plastic bags/garbage bags and hard plastic boxes will not be accepted. Your bags must be clearly marked with your surname, your race number and which checkpoint you want them taken to (ie. CP3, CP4 or CP5). It is best to write on the bag with a thick permanent marker pen rather than trying to attach a label that may be ripped from your bag in transport and handling. You might like to include extra food, gels, body lubricant, spare socks, clothing, batteries, spare headlamp, etc. Only one bag per person is permitted for each of these locations and they must be no bigger than 20 litres each. From 4pm on the Friday evening, there will be 3 separate areas at Race Check-In to leave your 3 different checkpoint drop bags. You will need to drop off your bags on the Friday evening during either the 4pm to 6:30pm Race Check-In or the 7:15pm to 8pm Race Check-In. Note that all checkpoint drop bags must be in by 8pm on the Friday night. After the race, checkpoint drop bags will be available for collection from an area near the finish line approximately 2 hours after the cut-off times for each checkpoint. You are also able to leave a larger sized soft bag at the start so you can have warm dry clothes and footwear for when you finish. This bag must also be marked with your surname and race number.
